Gymnastics Now was created to fill a hole on the gymternet and beyond. The gymnastics world deserves an all-inclusive news source, where fans and athletes alike can come to get the latest news, feature stories, live meet coverage, and more.

Gymnastics Now covers the top male and female athletes of the sport, striving for equal coverage of all. From Brody Malone to Simone Biles, from UCLA’s Selena Harris to Michigan’s Paul Juda, from Ireland’s Rhys McClenaghan to France’s Melanie de Jesus dos Santos – and beyond. GN is also growing verticals dedicated to the other Olympic disciplines: rhythmic and trampoline.

About the team

Patricia Duffy, Founder & Editor

Patricia Duffy (Fiske) is an Emmy Award-winning journalist who founded Gymnastics Now in February 2020. She has covered gymnastics for over eight years with various news outlets.

Patricia is a graduate of the University of Georgia (A.B.J. ’17, M.A. ’22), where she majored in journalism with a Sports Media Certificate and sports management minor and earned a Master’s in Emerging Media.

Patricia’s previous work in multimedia journalism has uniquely equipped her to build Gymnastics Now from the ground up over the past four years. She has managed multiple media organization’s content, marketing, and social media, but as a journalist at heart, she is most proud to have her work featured on Golf Channel, NBC’s Olympic and Paralympic productions, On Her Turf, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and more. She won an Emmy for coverage of the 2022 Beijing Olympic Winter Games.

Micahya Costen, Writer – Big 12 (Women)

Micahya Costen is a journalism student at the University of Georgia, currently pursuing a sports media certificate with her journalism degree. Passionate about storytelling, Micahya delves into the intricate “behind the scenes” aspects of each narrative to deliver factual information to the audience. Growing up in a sports-oriented family has instilled a deep appreciation for sports stories and updates. Learning about athletes’ lifestyles and journeys is a source of pride for Micahya, who finds inspiration in these narratives applicable to various aspects of life.

Karyssa D’Agostino, Writer – General

Karyssa D’Agostino is a graduate of Syracuse University where she studied Broadcast & Digital Journalism, minored in Political Science, and was a captain of the competitive coed cheer team. Growing up, she was a competitive gymnast, which sparked her love for the sport. As the years went on, her passion and following of the sport continued, even as her own gymnastics career ended.

Karyssa was previously a general assignment news reporter who covered politics, government and law enforcement accountability, rural healthcare and severe weather. During her time at WRBL News 3, she had the opportunity to cover Auburn’s run to the NCAA gymnastics regionals and finals.

Karyssa is so excited to be part of the Gymnastics Now team and continue to cover the sport she loves most.

Eva Geitheim, Writer – Pac-12 (Women)

Eva Geitheim is a recent graduate of UCLA, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. She began gymnastics shortly after the 2012 London Olympics, and has avidly followed the sport since.

Eva has previously covered numerous sports including the NFL, NBA, NWSL, and MLB while working as a sports writer and editor. She is excited to join Gymnastics Now and bring more deserved attention to covering NCAA Women’s Gymnastics.

William Gomez, Writer – ECAC (Men)

Will Gomez is a Sport Management Masters student at the University of Florida. He’s competed in gymnastics for over 12 years and has coached men’s gymnastics for three years. Will is excited to expand his role in gymnastics through this position and share the amazing men’s gymnastics that goes on in the ECAC!

Aidan Giusti, Writer – MPSF (Men)

Aidan Giusti was a member of the men’s gymnastics team at the University of California Berkeley from 2020-2023 and graduated in May 2023 with a Bachelor’s in Legal Studies. He is a member of Meetcritique and the National Gymnastics Judging Association. Aidan is currently working as a legal assistant for an employment law firm and is planning to go to law school to become a lawyer.

Elizabeth Hunter, Writer – SEC (Women)

Elizabeth Hunter is a third-year journalism major at the University of Georgia. Along with her major, she is minoring in international affairs and pursuing certificates in sports media and news literacy.

Elizabeth grew up as a gymnast and has stayed involved in the sport by working for Dawg Vision, which broadcasts sporting events at UGA. She is looking forward to bringing SEC gymnastics coverage to readers this NCAA season.

Ian LeWarn, Writer – NCAA Features

Ian LeWarn is a first-year student at the University of South Carolina, pursuing a degree in political science with a minor in sports media. He began following elite gymnastics with the 2018 World Championships in Doha, followed by NCAA after the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. Ian has worked in various journalism-related positions, including writing for student-run publications and other gymnastics media.

Kasey Nelson, Writer – ACC (Women)

Kasey Nelson is Gymnastics Now’s NCAA writer for ACC women’s gymnastics. She was a four-year starter on NC State’s Wolfpack Gymnastics team and a two-time Academic All-American.

Kasey has covered sports since graduating with a bachelor’s degree in communication in 2021, including writing feature stories on athletes and coaches at Kennesaw State University and working as the assistant director of sports information for game operations and social media at Oglethorpe University.

Her favorite memory from competing in the NCAA was helping her team advance to the Sweet 16 during her senior year.

Caroline Price, Writer – Big Ten (Women)

Caroline Price is a graduate of the University of Virginia where she majored in Media Studies and worked in various roles while covering the university’s athletic teams. As a marketing professional, she possesses extensive multimedia experience, from graphic design work, to photography, to copywriting, but she feels that nothing compares to reporting on the sport she loves most. Gymnastics has been Caroline’s greatest passion since she began competing at age 10, and she is ecstatic to join the Gymnastics Now team as a Women’s NCAA Writer.

David Willett, Writer – Big Ten (Men)

David Willett is an alumnus of Michigan Engineering and a former captain of Michigan’s Gymnastics team. He has 17+ years of gymnastics experience and has continued to stay engaged with the sport past his athletic career through both coaching and judging. Outside of gymnastics, David has worked with multiple biotechnology companies and is planning to attend medical school in the fall of 2024.
