Happy Olympic and Paralympic Day! Today is all about being active through sports, staying healthy, and being the best you can be. To celebrate, we’re sharing some of our favorite posts from the day so far!

Fabian Hambüchen then and now

It’s hard to believe that the now 32-year-old Olympic high bar champion began his Olympic journey at the young age of 16 at the 2004 Athens Games. Four Olympics and three medals later, we’re just wishing the German star would come out of retirement for Tokyo!

Fun fact: Hambüchen was the youngest German athlete at the 2004 Games, where the German team placed eighth in the team event final. Individually, Hambüchen finished 23rd in the all-around and seventh in the high bar final. The high bar specialist went on to improve on that placement with bronze in 2008, silver in 2012, and gold in 2016.

Reigning rhythmic Olympic all-around champion passes on the Olympic dream

Rio 2016 Olympic all-around champion Margarita Mamun featured her 8-month-old son, Lev Alexandrovich Sukhorukov, in her Olympic Day post. The retired rhythmic gymnast shares Lev with her husband, Olympic swimmer Alexander Sukhorukov. How adorable is he!?

The queen of Olympic gymnastics celebrates in the gym

Oksana Chusovitina is the undisputed queen of competing at the Olympics, having appeared in seven games so far and shooting for her eighth next year. The Uzbekistan gymnast, who just celebrated her 45th birthday this past week, shared this fun clip of her dancing in the gym today. Gymternet dance party, anyone?

Shallon Olsen eyes Tokyo 2021

Rio 2016 Olympian and current Alabama gymnast Shallon Olsen (CAN) used her Olympic Day post to pay tribute to her experiences so far and look forward to Tokyo, acknowledging her dual participation in NCAA and elite, as she continues to compete for Canada and the Crimson Tide!

That gold-medal smile!

Our parting shot on Olympic Day is none other than the G.O.A.T. herself: Simone Biles! Get out, get active, and enjoy this great day with an Olympic-sized celebration!
